After nearly a 10 year hiatus, I jumped back into painting in early 2006.  I employed a similar approach to these compositions as with the older introspective, expressionist abstractions (in gallery 2).  Some of these paintings depict a more figurative representation than the older works.  I decided not to completely abandon the image in favor of a more pure abstraction.
